The light weight Salomon XA Pro Trail Running Shoes have fast become the trail runner’s shoe of choice. Salomon’s pro chassis combines a dual density EVA midsole that absorbs shock with a Contagrip outsole that provides incredible traction on virtually any terrain. Thermoplastic foot plates create just the right amount of flex, enhancing ground feeling and responsiveness. A quick-lace system allows you to tie your shoes without the tying. One quick tug, and your feet are secure and ready to hit the trail. The XA Pro is quick drying and perfectly ventilated with open-air mesh to keep your foot cool and dry after mile one or one hundred. This shoe isn’t just for the hardcore trail runner, though. It’s like a decked out SUV for your feet—stylish enough to drive around town but equipped to charge up the most rugged backcountry roads.

Here's what other's thought of The Salomon XA Pro Trail Running Shoes:

Markk (2):
Some of the fastest drying, stable, responsive trail shoes I have used. I think the grip works better descent than ascent, however both ways they are better than almost anything else I have worn.

Great lightweight choice
Markk (2):
I was concerned about running on rough trails when I first put these on after my Adidas trail shoes. That concern disappeared right away with the traction and stability. Recommend these to anyone, although I would question the recommendation many sites have to size up 1/2 size unless you have wide feet. The lacing takes a little getting used to until you realize you do not have to cut off circulation at the ankle to get the toe box tight enough .... each side pulls on a different area of the shoe. Get that right, and it is a great shoe.

XA Pro makes the grade in Afghanistan
Army guy (1):
I have been running in Afghanistan daily for about two months. The XA Pro has been terrific. The roads are very rough and covered with jagged rocks and this shoe has not shown the wear. It also has great heel stability which is critical when you are running on these roads. They are very comfortable and light for a trail shoe and the kevlar laces have really held up well. If you are running on rough terrain these are the shoes for you.
